Trending Tuesday

I’ve always been partial to neutrals; they’re effortless and I already have a bright pop of color everywhere I go (ginger probz). When I’m up early before work, I reach first for the neutral pieces in my wardrobe that I know will go together in a pinch. I’ve been seeing a lot of head-to-toe neutrals happening all over the interwebs, so I rounded up a few pieces for this week’s Trending Tuesday PLUS some inspiration from a few of my favorite bloggers.

Gift Guide: $25 or Less

Right around this time of year, the blogs I regularly read start cranking out gift guide after gift guide. I usually like the pieces they pick out, but I’ve never really found gifts that fit well with my budget. I just really can’t afford to get my dad a $300 watch or my bestie an $80 perfume, as much as I would love to. I also really enjoy putting a lot of little gifts together to make a bigger gift; for example… nail polish + gloves + cute coffee mug all put together = one of my go-to gifts around this time of year. So, if you just need a little something for your office Secret Santa or want to put a few things together, I’ve rounded up a few things I love to gift for less than $25 each (most less than $15!).

1. Too Faced French Kisses Melted Lipstick Set

2. Forever 21 Knotted-Tassel Necklace

3. BP Plaid Oblong Scarf

4. Kate Spade New York Thermal Mug (also still love these initial mugs that were super popular last year!)

5. Essie Master Plan nail polish

6. Essie Bordeaux nail polish

7. BP Bar Ring

8. Express Fair Isle Knee High Socks

A Striped Duster

DSC_0467Charlotte Russe duster cardigan (similar here & here) // Silky tank from Dillard’s (similar here) // HUE black pants (exact here) // Black booties from E.Leigh’s (similar here & here–love the metallic heel on these) // Gold chain necklace from E.Leigh’s (similar here)

After a long, long wait, the perfect cool fall weather has finally made its way to Texas. This also means quite a bit of rain every now and then, but I’m willing to compromise… in order to wear more layers. This duster cardigan is a favorite; it pairs well with the majority of my dresses and has a great bold effect for an otherwise simple outfit. Oh, and this tank?! Got it on mega sale only to come home and find out it also reverses to white! Double win!
